Meeting Reflection

In general meetings are made to discuss a problem or an issue that concern certain people. However, basic steps should be followed by the parties to have a successful and useful meeting. Moreover, sending an agenda of the meeting to the participant in advance, choosing the suitable people with right qualification, sticking to topic and the time limit of the meeting.
In my opinion, during the meeting participant should be focused on the main topic without any interruption from outside or inside the meeting. Enough time should be given to discuss the topic without any elongation or repeating the ideas. Long meeting are boring if necessary a short break in between would be useful to refresh the participant. In our group meeting my role was a participant. The meeting went smoothly with good and clear ideas. I learned that we should prepare for meeting in advance; positive negotiation is very useful between the members to improve their thoughts and ideas.
In the graded meeting the group was under more pressure because of the new topic and limited time to prepare for the meeting. However, it was a very good challenge to discover the skills of the students. On the other hand, choosing a topic with having enough time should conclude to a good meeting with good results and feedback.
As a manager I would inform participant and send them the meeting agenda in advance. Meeting should be in proper timing neither too early nor late. Also, I want my meeting to be focused on the issue without exceeding the limited time. Finally, do not hold mean fewer meetings otherwise your employee won’t take them seriously.

·        Sponsorship (government and private)
·        Future plans and estimating

·        Adopting center

The members of the group are; the chairmen: Khaifa Almuhairi, the Minute’s takers: Faleh AL Hajrei, Mohammed AL Qubaisi and Mohammed Abu Baker are the participants.
1.     Sponsorship: companies provide sponsor ship for students in colleges to encourage the students to complete their higher studies in order to take positions in the community.
2.     Future planning and estimating:
o   Governments help the private company by paying half the salary for local people.
o   Survey the percentage of graduated students in 5-10 years, and make a plan for the jobs. (Preparing and monitoring the graduated students.

3.     Training local people to take the lead:
o   Train the local employee for a certain jobs that they have weakness in it, so after a period of time they can take position of foreign employee.
o   Put the right people on the right positions depending on their certificate.

Adopting center:
·        Qualify disable people to participate them in the community
·        Provide jobs for different levels of education

At the end of the meeting we agreed to have a meeting on the 10th Dec. 2012, the place and the time we will be confirmed later.
